Wanda Hennig and Cravings

Wanda’s Cravings.

Just plucked up the courage to listen to the SAfm podcast of my interview with Shado Twala. More aptly, Shado’s interview with me.

Am so happy she had read my book (Cravings: A Zen-inspired memoir about sensual pleasures, freedom from dark places, and living and eating with abandon)—and liked it.

To quote SAfm Otherwise producer Hazel Makuzeni’s e-mail after she called to set up the interview—and from me, out blurted (default social phobic mode) “do I need to be nervous?”: “Shado’s interviews are more of a conversation than a straight Q&A. The interview will be about the book; how it came about and what it deals with. From depression to social phobia to meditation, celibacy, etc.”

Felt (more than) a little overwhelmed being interviewed live via my cellphone. And wouldn’t the city (eThekwini municipality) have chosen that day to dig up the street outside… But no more about the elephant in the room (which relates to why I had to pluck up that courage). Thanks to Shado and Hazel. You were both SO great.
